In the Community

For over 60 years, Whirlpool and our people have been part of the fabric of the Clyde community, producing great products that consumers in the United States and other countries love to buy. Every four seconds a washing machine comes off our assembly lines. The hard work of the people in our community makes it possible. We consider everyone who lives in Clyde to be part of our family.

Clyde is our home, and that’s why we have always made it a priority to give back to the community. In the last three years alone, we have given more than $1.4 million to the United Way, local schools, and charities. Our plant is a cornerstone of the community. Our people volunteer with the fire department, serve on local boards, and build homes for the less fortunate through Habitat for Humanity.

We remain committed to being a responsible corporate citizen and standing up for the 3,000 men and women who work here. Whirlpool values the skills, integrity and dedication of this workforce and has continued to invest here.

Whirlpool’s commitment to this community and to the State of Ohio is as strong as ever. We plan to remain here, providing jobs and manufacturing appliances for a long time to come.
